About Codes

1. Computational rheometer solver

Introduction of the rheometer

A rheometer is a laboratory device used to measure the way in which a liquid, suspension or slurry flows in response to applied forces. It is used for those fluids which cannot be defined by a single value of viscosity and therefore require more parameters to be set and measured than is the case for a viscometer. It measures the rheology of the fluid. (WIKIPEDIA)

2. Boiling solver

Introduction of the boiling heat transfer

Pool boiling have been used for the dispersion and cooling of heat loads, for example, in the field of electronic chip cooling. Heat transfer technologies that utilize phase changes offer heat transfer rates than methods that use convection. Parametic studied as a way of developing a surface that is superior in terms of both the heat transfer rate and the superheat.

Description about boiling solver

The architecture of the boiling solver is composed of lattice Boltzmann. This solver can deal pool boiling on the heterogeneous wettability. You can apply any wettability configuration for boiling simulation

Example

- Pool boiling on a radially modified patterned wettability

- Pool boiling on a twisted patterned wettability
